How to submit an abstract

The submission deadline is 18 March 2017 23:59:59 CET. Abstracts on the particular subjects can be submitted exclusively online: www.dgh-kongress.de Applications via fax, e-mail, etc. cannot be taken into consideration.
Modification and corrections to abstracts will be accepted until closing date.
Notifications about acceptance or refusal will be sent out during July 2017.
Please note that all presenting authors must register for the Congress and pay the appropriate registration fee.

The abstract is limited to 2,500 characters incl. gaps. Modifications to abstracts that are already registered are possible up to the application deadline. The following structure of the abstract is mandatory: Title, introduction/objectives, methods, results and conclusions. The abstract has to contain all relevant data. To assure an anonymous handling, it is not allowed to mention any names of the author or of the hospital or of the location of the hospital in the text.
Please use a minimum of formatting for abstracts. We cannot guarantee that abstracts will be formatted in the exact way as they are entered.
Avoid using non-standard abbreviations.
Results that have already been published or that have been lectured elsewhere cannot be submitted.
It is not allowed to submit an abstract several times to different subjects of the congress. The presenting author must be listed first. The person, who is mentioned first, is responsible for the compliance with ethic regulations and the law on animal protection. The abstract text has to be written in a way that it is usable for printing/publishing.

All accepted abstracts will be published in the internet on http://www.egms.de.
All authors listed have to give their consent regarding the abstract text, publication in the abstract volume as well as the publication on the internet.

All submitted abstracts will be reviewed anonymously by several experts. Evaluation criteria are:

“Interest of the subject” (Very interesting/New or Interesting or Already known, or no interest),
“Quality of the methodology” (Excellent or Fair or Inadequate),
“Results” (Well-presented and documented or Fair or Inadequate),
“Conclusions” (Important or Interesting but not new or Does not reflect the results).
“Language” (Language ok for publication or Language needs revision by author)

Abstracts that show formal errors (multi-submission for the same congress, not anonymised, already published elsewhere) are going to be rejected.
