Technical reference and guidelines regarding submission of abstracts

  • You can submit and edit your work until the deadline at 13th of April 2014 23:59:59 CEST.
  • Only work which haven't been published previously can be accepted.
  • Primary congress language is German. Submissions and presentations in English are also heartly welcome.
  • The title is restricted to 100 characters (spaces and blanks included). The correct length is checked automatically during typing.
  • Abstract body (text body without title, authors, affiliations etc.) is restricted to 2.200 characters. This is also checked and shown during typing.
  • Please note that in case of overlength, your submission may be shortened retroactively prior to publication in the book of abstracts.
  • Please structurize your abstract into the sections introduction (definition of problem), methods, results, discussion (conclusions). Written headings for these sections are not necessary.
  • There is no option to integrate tables or images to your submission.
  • For contributions in German, please use a comma as decimal separator (e.g. 4,56 mmol/l). For English submissions a dot (e.g. 4.56 mmol/l) should be used.
  • The presenting author must be defined during the submission process. With submission, you agree to present your finally accepted work personally at the congress (registration fee).
  • Maximal 9 co-authors are admitted from maximal 5 different scientific institutions. Please note that no additional co-authors can be published in the book of abstracts.
  • There is no number limit on how many abstracts any author is allowed to submit. However, please consider that all your accepted submissions must be presented personally.
  • All submissions will be checked by an independent expert panel which judges about acceptance of the submissions for the scientific program.
  • After your submission is finally accepted, please register as congress participant (registration fee). Further information: DGSP.
  • Please note that this additional submission track with extended deadline is for poster presentations without additional Powerpoint presentation only.
